Braxton Bragg (1817-1876)
Bragg replaced General Albert Sydney Johnston as the head general of the Army of Tennessee. Bragg focused mainly on battles in Tennessee and Kentucky. The two major battles that he was apart of was the battles of Shiloh and Stones River. Bragg had a series of loses starting with Shiloh then ending with Chattanooga. During the Battle of Stones River his plan was to attack with several offensives. Bragg's offensives were countered by the Union Army and he was defeated at Murfreesboro. After Brag's stint in the Civil War he became an advisor to President Jefferson Davis.
